New Build, Monitor Displays 'No Signal' then shuts off

I just finished building a new computer and everything works well, but when I plugged everything into my monitor, nothing happened. At first the monitor says no signal, then shortly afterwards it shuts off.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

What was the problem and the solution? Doesn't matter if it is something simple. Leave it here in case someone has the same problem.

I just switched the the DVI cable from the motherboard to the GPU
