Went from
Gigabyte H310M S2H with i3-8100 CPU
an optical drive, a 4TB traditional HD, and a NVME drive as boot.
to
ASUS PRIME B760M-A D4, Corsair VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL16 Intel XMP 2.0 iCUE Compatible Computer Memory - Black (CMK16GX4M2E3200C16), Intel Core i7-12700KF Gaming Desktop Processor 12 (8P+4E) Cores up to 5.0 GHz Unlocked LGA1700 600 Series Chipset 125W
and the Western Digital 500GB WD Blue 3D NAND Internal PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, M.2 2280, Up to 560 MB/s - WDS500G2B0B nvme drive that was my working boot drive on the old mother board wasn't recognized in the heatsink covered M.2. slot, even with the extra piece of rubber and when I put it in the uncovered M.2. slot, the computer won't even go to BIOS. These are the issues that always make me regret not buying a pre-built machine, but I just can't help myself...so please, help? Thanks.

Got it to go to BIOS, but now it won't even start. Power supply? Even with a new power supply, doesn't explain NVME not showing up in BIOS.

Just the one that was working. About ready to crack open another machine and test it. However, now that nothing is starting up...

No, it never showed up, only the hard drive and optical drive.
I'm using a new 3060 that was working.

Put NVME into another computer and after a few minutes, it booted up into windows. Going to grab a power supply now. Wish me luck.

New power supply at least boot to bios but still doesn't recognize name which tested fine (booted) in other machine...

Yeah, no funny stuff, just new power supply with cables it came with, not even a conversion plug or shared cable. Thermaltake Smart 700w.
