My display won't turn on for my upgrade of mobo and processor and I am working through everything recommended in the sticky, though I have not reset CMOS yet.

Before I do, quick question: my RAM adata 2x8gb ax4u300038g16A-SB10 is speed 3000mhz

Gigabyte b450 Aorus pro Motherboard states bus speed 2933, 2667, 2400, 2133 MHz

The ram isn't on the compatibility list for the mobo (which I just found out) - could this RAM cause the problem with no display but computer seemingly powering on and fans going etc?

And are there any risks/problems with resetting the CMOS?

Thanks!!

full system spec? include make and model of the psu

Yeh sorry I'm an idiot!
I just swapped the RAM to the unrecommended dual (3&4) swapped a fan connection from sys fan 3 to 2,
Reseated the GPU and reseated the CPU power slots and redid the front panel connectors (already done nearly all of these before)

Not sure what fixed it butnow I get display and boots to Win7 but won't detect mouse and keyboard, guessing because my mobo is technically not compatible with Win7 so going to boot install win10 and hope goes ok!!!
