Hi,
I have recently decided to update my computer but am unsure on what I should put my money into as i am not to hot on whats hot. I would like a PC that will run the latest games (such as Arma 3 and Witcher 3) on ultra settings. I know I need to update my graphics card and add more RAM not sure about the CPU.
This is my current setup
CPU AMD Athlom IIx3 450 Pro
Mother board ASUS M4AB9TD pro
4 GB RaM
64 bit OS
TX850W powersupply
Graphics card Sapphire HD5770 1 G PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDMI
This was a computer my friend built for me 4 or 5 years ago. i have very limited knowledge when it comes to computer components, so any advice on what and which components to i should buy would be greatly appreciated. I have a budget of £700ish.

You'd be best off replacing everything. That processor is very old and slow, you need more RAM, the power supply is poor quality and the graphics card is old and slow.

keep only your OS, HDD and PSU, so you can get a beast of a system like this. I added a SSD so you can put your OS on it, and with your existing HDD, you will put games.

To transfer an OEM OS is pretty hard, it takes a lot of persuading. Equally, the TX line of power supplies are poor quality. Although your build is awesome, it'd be pretty hard to get it going.

the TX line are not bad, in fact, the RM series is a rebadge of the TX line, just adding the 0 RPM mode. the TX line of PSU's are just fine.

thats even better then what I have expected.

Cheers guys for the speedy response. Didn't like the bit about powers supply exploding but i'm sure its ok. A question about cases as i didn't mention the case i already have in my specs, Coolmaster 690. Will this be an adequate case for the job? If so what could the the £50ish saved be put into?

Well, I think you'll need a new OS in the budget. It's pretty hard and kind of unethical to get Microsoft to transfer your OEM copy of Windows to the new computer, when there's not even anything broken.

You can save money on the cooler getting the Raijintek Aidos over the Hyper 212 Evo - it performs just as well. With the extra £10 added to the £57 already saved you can buy Windows 7 Home Premium.
