this is my new build. I am having minor glitches.
When I first started it up I had problems with it freezing all the time and really dragged butt with win7ultimate
I did a fresh install and used windows8.1pro and it fixed that issue.
When I would load a game it would freeze. found out that the Gaming Evolved thing was causing that issue did a safemode clean removal and installed everything except that pile of crap

Now If I leave it idle over night it will freeze up and when i reset it windows starts to complete an update.
I am curious if I need to do a fresh install or if it is something hardware. I think I am having hardware issues but not ruling out software

The reason I think I have hardware is because I will turn on xboost when computer boots up and it will reset and turn itself back off. I have checked for updates on my bios and I have the newest bios update. I did a Memtest for all day and Night. I did not receive any errors. I did all the Seatools and chkdsk and no errors on my harddrives. i checked them all.

Now for overclocking. I did not except to get extreme overclocking out of my setup with air cool. but I can only get it to run stable at 4.2ghz. I noticed it runs a little hot without overclocking as well.

Here is an image of my temps after playing all day NonOC

if you are wondering what I am using its a Piece of relic junk from antec. It no longer has a side panel. I tried moding a window into it and failed terribly got mad and threw it in the dump.

My thoughts it is the MB only thing I can think of. no pins were bent I was very careful with dropping it in the socket. it feel in like a hot knife through butter. If not it maybe the PSU. I got the PSU off of newegg it was a refurb and at an amazing price of 44 bucks.

if anyone has any theories it would be much appreciated.

Edit sorry I put this in motherboard it probably should have been written in system. My apologies.

Yeah I have the timing set properly. The mother was showing it as 1600 and I had to go in and change everything. I think I found the problem though. I turned off auto updates for windows and it did not freeze this morning. I guess it is software. Now if I felt comfortable with OCing this thing.
