New build, won't power on. Please help.

Hi,

This is my 5th build so I do have some familiarity with the components. First time I've ran into an issue.

Hardware:
ASRock Z97M Fatality
EVGA 750 B2
i5 4690
2x4gb Ripjaws 1600
Intel 240GB SSD

I have tested the GPU with PSU tester and 1 fan attached. It powers on and fan spins.

When I connect power to the MB there is no sign of life. I have tested without any fans or the SSD connected - just the MB power and the 12V ATX. The closest I've come to seeing a sign of life on the MB is when I connect just the MB 20-pin power line (12V ATX disconnected). When I hit the power button with this setup, the power button led lights and the CPU Fan turns for about 2 seconds before everything turns off.

I don't know what to do at this point. Also, Ram is installed in slots 2 and 4 (black slots) from the CPU. I've also tested 1 stick in just slot 4.

Just had a thought....and after exploring it, I'm embarrassed to say I made a stupid mistake. Just got to the post screen.

This is my first time working with a modular PSU. I had thought the 4 pin connector on the MB 20 Pin line was my 12v ATX....oops. Plugged in the modular CPU switch and I'm business.

Writing down my issue helped me out here. Thanks for looking at my question.
