These are the components I'm thinking about getting for my machine... Haven't decided on a case or motherboard (dunno if it's good).

Can you guys let me know if this goes well together? Do I have good stuff? I will be using a lower end graphics card (rx 580 8gb) until the rtx 3080ti comes out and I can get my hands on it.
Also Is this good ram? Does my board maximize it? (Ram confuses me so bad)

It would be. 3080ti would be a 300, maybe 400W when OC part. Another 100W for the cpu. Normal gaming load would be around 500W maxed. While some like the idea of only loading a psu to 50% of rated output, i do not. A 650W unit should be enough to handle worse case. And won't cost $200.
First, there is no such thing as a slave drive anymore. When we went SATA they ceased to exist. Second, both of your drives are on the smaller end. I haven't kept up with Covid pricing but I would think $100 would get you more. You might want to poke around and see about getting more drive space. Precovid ~18mo ago I was able to spend just over $100 each on a 1TB SSD and an 8TB spinner.

I'm also not sure about that PSU. $200 on a 1kW PSU? Way overkill. A 650W is more than enough for what you are doing. Even a good 550W can probably handle it though you wouldn't be able to OC with that.

When I said slave I meant like my non windows drive (I chose this for the 7200 speed without trying to get an ssd)...but maybe that's a mistake? The reason for the big PSU is future proofing for the rtx 3080 ti. But maybe it's still too much?
