A friend asked me to Upgrade his computer for him as he got excited when he seen i built myself a new PC. Now almost everything in his computer is new minus the Case, Power supply, HDD, and graphics card. His build is
CoolerMaster Case (older one Mid Atx Tower)
Intel Core i7-8700 3.2ghz
Asrock-B360 Pro ATX LGA1151 Mobo
Gskill Aegis 8gb DDR4-3000Mhz ram
Cant remember what kind of HDD but its 1.5tb from the old computer
Geforce GTX 1070 8gb MSI
EVGA 600w Power Supply
Windows 10 64bit (upgraded on old PC from windows 7 not a fresh windows 10 install).
Now ive had other friends upgrade their computers Ie. Mobo and CPU whilst keeping their old drives and not doing a fresh windows update and everything runs fine. But with my buddys new build here funny things are happening -.- He can run the computer normally running youtube or doing whatever normal browsers do and even run minor games like league and his indie games, but when he tries to run PUBG or Overwatch or anything demanding really he says it sounds like all his fans start firing up to full tilt then his computer crashes and reboots on its own. Now he even tried installing a brand new game hes been wanting (monster hunter) and even that game with a fresh install and never being on this computer before crashes. We went thru and did all the usual stuff check all the drivers and make sure their all up to date, try running things through admin still nadda. I'm at the point where im guessing we just need to do a fresh windows install and reinstall everything and start fresh?
*UPDATE* Currently playing league with him and getting him to open a bunch of Google tabs with youtube running videos in the background, no problems what so ever. Running 300+ FPS and 6 tabs open in google all on youtube. yet we try and run PUBG again, same thing as before. Computer winds all fans to full tilt and forces a reboot.-.-
