Any particular budget in mind? Without a budget, we can throw in some really overkill stuff 😉
What are you going to use your system for btw, that would help me find a good cpu for that purpose?

I’m going to use it for a gaming/ streaming rig having VR capabilities would be nice but not required. So far with the current build I have with a Ryzen 7 setup it’s about 1300 bucks so an equivalent to that. I see a lot of people on my post recommending intels I7 series over the Ryzen

if you want to do VR go intel

no reason to get a ryzen setup at your budget level , especially for gaming

the i7 8700k just wins regardless of task

If you are streaming the i7's hyperthreading will help. It will also make your rig more future proof. If you can afford it, go for the i7. I would also suggest a good water or air cooler for it. The Ml240 is a good liquid cooler, but the NH-D15 is the way to go if you want to be cool B)
