Any ideas guys? I got $600 bucks to spend to make a gaming PC, btw OS, screen, mouse, keyboard etc not needed.

I got some other questions too
How do I know whether this CPU is good enough for this GPU?
I mean, like would AMD Radeon™ HD 6850 Graphics be good on AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 840?
I'm planning to have them.

Also, in the modern day world, should I choose the number of cores over clock speed or vice versa?

And why is the AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 840 so damn cheap? What's the problem with it?

Thanks.
Semitech n00bie here.

Oh i've been studying HOW to build a computer for quite a while! like 2 weeks of continuous youtube videos. So there should be no problems there. I know how to plug everything in, and where everything goes, it's just the hardware part where i'm stuck.
Cos so far I've only ever had laptops, three in fact, and so I only know about laptop specs :/

Sorry guys for being so dependent, ugh I'm horrible at this. I have NO idea how to choose motherboards. Never heard of them. Didn't need them when choosing a damn laptop :(
Okay. I'll go off and do a bit more learning! I think i'll give it some time before I actually start building.

And lol noo dont worry i wont blame anything on you if anything goes wrong. After all, it should be me to blame cos im so damn lazy

I'm sorry about the time difference, here in U.S. it was like 5 in the afternoon!

I was just worrying about you that was all, I hate hearing about a person spending 600 bucks, getting the stuff home and saying " Now what did 'shinobi and zepfan' say?" It is just precautionary.

Good to here you were studying before hand :D
