Just finished assembling a computer, but it won't show even a single sign of turning on. The components are

NZXT Guardian 921 RB No Power Supply ATX Mid Tower Case

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2)

Intel Core i7-3770 Quad-Core Processor 3.4 GHz 4 Core LGA 1155 - BX80637I73770

A corsair CX500 power supply

An Alienware X51 2012(year) hard drive that I am going to replace soon.

Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black)

Z75 pro3 motherboard

2 8gb G.Skill RipJaws Rams

Also used a decent amount of thermal paste on the cpu. Everything is plugged in but nothing happens when I press the power button. First time build also, so old really appreciate help.

Solution

Check if you have the System Panel headers in correctly,it has PLED+,PLED-PWRSWITCH,HDLED+,HD LED-,RESET switches.Turn on the power supply some people may forget.one of your parts may be DOA.
