Which platinum PSU from Seasonic do you have? How old is the PSU in your build? You mentioned the currency but where are you located? Preferred site for purchase? So we can locate something closer to you).

If you want to go with concurrent Intel gear, you'll need at least a 360mm AIO while beefy air coolers can be possible with the AM5 platform Ryzen.

Make and model of your case?(it's to understand any clearance issues you might run into).

Sorry i was wrong about my PSU. it's this:

PSU SUPER FLOWER GOLDEN GREEN HX SERIES 750W (SF-750P14XE)

and its 7 years old.
My case is this:

CoolerMaster Cm 590 III

As for cpu i want the best for the rest of hardware but i prefer air coolers. So if i understood what are you saying AMD is my only choice.I just want to keep RAM as it is.I live in Greece and i will buy everything from here but from many local sites.

Your case is good for air cooling.
You have a 200mm front intake and 171mm height available.

Not a greek reader, but I think you can get a I5-14600K for 300e.
You should be able to find a lga1700 DDR4 motherboard for about 200e.
Nobody overclocks any more; a Z690/Z790 motherboard will be fine.
You may need such to handle 4 sticks of ram.
But, B660 and B760 MATX motherboards are less expensive and some do have 4 ram slots.

You can reuse your DDR4 ram. Intel is not sensitive to ram compatibility.

You would need a lga1700 adapter for your cooler.
But a cooler like the thermalright peerless asassin is a twin tower cooler that might go for 40e.

Your I7-7700K has 8 processing threads and a passmark rating of 9654. That is when all 8 threads are fully utilized.
Not likely to happen unless you play multiplayer games.
The single thread performance rating is2725.

The I5-14600K has 20 threads and a rating of 40395 with a single thread rating of 4294.
Do not try to save a few euros with the 14600KF and not get integrated graphics.
Such pennypinching always seems to bite you when you have GPU issues.

A ryzen build will be competitive on the cpu/mobo price/performance.
But your ram is not likely to be compatible.

Ryzen is different and since you now use intel, you will have fewer issues.

It would be between the 12700K and 13600K myself. Not a huge difference between the 13600K and 14600K to justify the price increase.

With no intention to overclock, 13400 is not a bad choice either.

DDR4 or DDR5, so you have to pick out the proper motherboard if you want to keep your DDR4. Otherwise you should be able to squeeze in some 5600-6400 CL28-32 DDR5.

Hey there,

If you purely for gaming, you could also opt for last gen Ryzen in the same way the guys above have suggested a 12th/13th gen Intel.

Something like this, and factoring faster ram, you could go this way:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor ($160.85 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler ($36.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard ($149.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory ($94.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $442.73
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Neither the Intel or AMD have much options for upgrading due to being last gen. But, you still get great gaming chops relatively cheaply.
