hello
i have just bought a new ryzen 7 5700x3d to replace my 5 3600 and i m having a black screen issue.
after i installed the new cpu the computer acted all weird .
in the first place all i got was a black screen than i thought maybe a cmos clear would work and indeed it was fine.
but the booting sequence did not go as usual because the first thing that popped up on my screen was the windows lock screen , no bios menu no mb logo display nothing at all straight to windows which was kinda weird .
after that i restarted the pc and then the fun started, just black screen and the fans on max speed also the cpu ez debug light lit up
I tried :
a lot of CMOS clears
i updated the bios to the last version and i know for a fact that i followed the right steps
i tried to update the bios using the old cpu which is working on both the old and the new bios version
i noticed by mistake that the pc s behaviour changed after i unplugged the gpu completely because after that the fans started on the max speed but than acted normal, and by normal i mean they slowed down after a few seconds of running at their max speed and also one of the fans powered up and than gave a few more tries to run but in the end it s stopping all by itself which i don t quite understand because i have it connected using a fan splitter alongside another one which is working just fine so could this mean i have something causing a short or some kind of interference ?
the specs are
MSI X570 gaming edge wifi
ryzen 7 5700x3d/ryzen 5 3600
32 gb g skill ripjaws v ddr4 3200 cl 16
evga gtx 1080 ti sc2 hybrid
arctic lf 3 rev2 360 mm
evga 750W supernova p6 80+ plat
and 4 more fans on the deepcool cg580,
including the 2 noctua fans both connected with a fan splitter and one of them is not working when the gpu is unplugged completely
i m lost and out of ideas
i forgot to mention that i also had a fresh install of windows with nothing but the absolute stock installation.
