Hello, just purchased a new i5-14600k and a Gigabyte B760. Did a clean windows install, did all the usual stuff you do after a clean install and ran Rust > 15 minutes after, game crashed > verified the game, no files were corrupt> BSOD out of nowhere > ran OCCT to check the CPU > 624 errors in 4 minutes.

BSOD: irql_not_less_or_equal
OCCT Errors prnt.sc

I'm not sure what to paste from the rust crash but I think this is the problem that happened before the crash.

This was the last one.
The first one was different it had "Symgetsymfromaddr64 attempt to access invalid address fix"

I also formatted the main drive only which had the windows installed and left the other one.

Any help would be really appreciated, I'm lost here.

I was able to play for couple of hours this time, then it crashed again.

Do the OCCT errors all happen on the same core?

You also might want to make sure the motherboard is running the CPU at stock instead of unlimited power profile. I wouldn't trust that board to run unlimited power well due to VRM.

Each stress test show different errors on different cores. For example, test 1 has 1 core that shows errors only, test 2 same errors but with a different core.

I'm not sure what is unlimited power profile, but I do have an option on the bios "Max Turbo" which is not enabled.

Additionally, after I got my first crash today, the one I posted above. I ran a test for 15 minutes and no errors were showing everything was fine.

I figured that was the case, but wanted to make sure since the pic just showed one.

I believe it's called Enhanced Multi-Core Performance for Gigabyte so you'd want that off.

Update:

I ran some tests on memory using OCCT, errors occurred. Most likely the problem is with my ram, I turned off XMP, errors and crashes were much less frequent. Manually adjusted the timings, and things were much better, but it still crashes every once in a while. I decided to change my ram, as I was planning on that for years, and it is a good time I guess. I switched to 2x16 G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3600, and even noticed a huge positive impact on performance in rust.

Update 2:

Hello, unfortunately problem is still not fixed, I was hoping that it was some problem with windows. I ran MemTest86 for about an hour and I ran into an error. MemTest86 error image

I stopped doing more tests, I recently replaced the rams with new ones, I am really lost here. Maybe the mobo/cpu is defective?
