I upgraded my PC with 3 brand new parts
CPU- ryzen 5 5600x
GPU- 6800xt
PSU- 750W

Here are the rest of my specs I have been using before the upgrade

CPU- ryzen 5 2600
GPU- RX 580
PSU- 600 W Evo
Mobo- B450 ATX
16 GB RAM ( slot 2 and 4)

After putting everything in , the cpu red light comes on with the new cpu with no display . So I put my old CPU back in and it boots up for a min or 2 but then shuts off.

Side note - I used a very small amount of thermal paste . I ordered more but idk if that could be it for it not working . But what do you guys think?

when upgrading remove the always reset your settings in bios.

also what is the new psu called.

remove the watch battery or coin battery in the motherboard with old cpu and cooler installed and 1 ram stick in slot 2 from the cpu cooler.

then put the battery back in after 2 minutes have passed.

try booting into bios then and update the bios you need to update the bios to run 5600x.

you may need to swap out 6800 xt back to your rx 580. aswell.

remove all amd graphic drivers from the windows os once you get back in.

Fixed ! I feel kinda dumb but I was kinda lazy went changing the psu and used the same cords from my old psu since they looked identical and fit the slots but I used the cords that came with the new one and now it works lol thanks !!
