I built this pc a week ago and have had a freezing problem when running it or a few minutes into gaming. I have read through other threads on this issue and most of them just say it sounds like a temps problem but i monitor my temps with nzxt cam and the temps never go over 50 when this problem happens, i have ran memtest and that didnt make the system freeze. I have also ran some gpu benchmarks to stress it and that did not cause a freeze. i have also tested my hdd's. I have not overclocked this build yet. I tried to update some drivers but I am not sure if i got them all or if that could be the problem. Any reply is appreciated

i do not have a spare gpu. no blue screens of death just hardlocks. i dont think it has happened during idle. either on web or in games.

I've seen web browsers freeze/hardlock systems before. What browser are you using? May want to try disabling "hardware acceleration" in the browser settings to see if that has any affect. This disabled the GPU from rendering the sites. Since it happens in this and games, it's sounding more and more GPU related w/ the card itself or driver version. Have you tried using an older driver? Newest version isn't always the best for everyone.

i uninstalled all of chrome and tried using plain internet explorer and that didnt change anything. so then i went back and used an older driver for my gpu and that seemed to work a lot longer when gaming but i still couldn't make it a game without freezing and having to manually reboot.

yeah i borrowed one and it seemed to run fine. So i guess now i have to rma the card? or could it still just be a driver issue?
