👋 I recently built a computer and am seeing problems booting somewhat randomly. I can track down the hardware list if that ends up being useful, but just looking for general things to try. I've done a bunch of googling and read through [this checklist](https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/no-post-system-wont-boot-and-no-video-output-troubleshooting-checklist.1285536/).
The symptom/problem is that the machine does what I'm calling a "blink start" where everything turns on for like a quarter second when I hit the power button. When I first built it last week, I could jump the CPU fan to the other power port on the MOBO and it would seem to turn on after. That method got less and less reliable to the point that I don't think it was doing anything and I was just randomly getting the computer to boot sometimes. It was Christmas so once I got it on one time, I went ahead and installed Windows, drivers, etc- everything seemed to be working.
I ordered another CPU / CPU Fan and installed that yesterday. At first it seemed like that might have resolved the issue (maybe the fan wasn't seated properly? It is seated correctly for sure now) as I was able to boot it a few times back to back to back. Just to make sure, I shut it down last night and then it did the same "blink start" this morning. I can flip the PSU off and then back on and it seems to reliably boot after that. So it seems that any time I shut it down, I have to flip the PSU off and on to get it to boot back up?
I've installed all the MOBO drivers, verified in BIOS that all the hardware is recognized.
Any help / troublshooting would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!
