Question New GPU or new CPU

[Need Pc Help]

I have a i5-8400 with a 980, im either going to upgrade to a 8700k or a 1080. Which do i go for.
I play overwacth and am buying 2 144hz monitors this summer.
And i understand that ill need a beefy cooler, like an NZXT x52.

An i5-8400 will pair well with stronger GPUs ... Personally, I'd opt for the 1080 over an 8700K.

Assuming the 1080 is used? If not, a 2070 might be a better option for the money..... And, if you are considering used, consider a 1080TI if you can find one for a decent price.

I found a 2060 and a 1080 both for 350$ both used.

A 2060? A 2060 is a $350 card, new.

For a 1080, that's a solid price.

1080 should perform over the 2060, as long as condition is still good.
