New GPU problems

Hey, so I recently upgraded my stock PC (fitted with Intel Graphics) to a Galax GT 740, however when I turned the computer back on I just get a black startup screen, can post an image of the screen display

When you get the black screen let the PC on and put back the monitor display cable to your integrated card and see if you get something on the screen, let me know if you tried it.

Tried the previous suggestion, computer just makes long beeping noises and the power button turns orange

Does the GPU fan spin ? and can you tell us how many beeps you hear that can help identify the problem, those beeps are codes for certain issues!

The GPU fan is spinning, and do you mean the beeps whilst plugged into the integrated card or plugged into the GT 740?

Well let me see if I got this right, if you take off the GPU and run the PC using the integrated card all works properly but once you put the GPU on the motherboard it runs but shows nothing on screen and power button becomes orange also the display cable from the monitor is plugged into the GPU is that right ?

Also did you try to take off the GPU and put it back on the motherboard once again ?

When the new GPU is not plugged in all runs fine, however when the new GPU is plugged in (with monitor cable plugged into new GPU) it displays a black startup screen saying the name of the GPU, Version, etc, displayed here: http://imgur.com/69JCvpc
