Looking to buy a new graphics card (GTX 1660ti https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N166TWF2OC-6GD#sp ) which needs an 8 pin PCI-E cable. My current power supply (Corsair CX430 https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...-series-config/p/CP-9020046-NA#tab-tech-specs ) only has a 6 pin PCI-E cable. Is there anyway with converters or such like that I can run the new card with my current power supply, or is my best bet a new one. If a new one is in order, which one would be best for me?

My build:
CPU: i5-4460 3.20GHz
GPU: GTX 1050Ti 4GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte: B85M-D2V
RAM: 16GB DDR3

Thanks in advance

Ok so first of all, the 1660ti requires a decent 450-watt power supply. The older green label corsair 430 CX power supplies are not high quality and may fail if you were to power a 1660ti since your psu doesnt have enough wattage nor decent quality. I would not suggest using this PSU with this card with an adapter. Adapters exist but aren't recommended in general.
What is your budget for a new PSU?

If a new PSU is going to be needed, I’ll probably invest a a decent new one, so I’ll be pretty open with the budget. Asking as I’m not throwing away money, I just need something that works with all my current specs

Although you only need a 450-watt power supply, I would recommend a quality 550 watt or more for more room to upgrade later on. There are 450-watt versions of both power supplies below if you want to save a buck.
Here is a new CX550M 80+ Bronze. This is from Corsairs newer line of CX power supplies, which are much higher quality than the old ones. It is only 80+ Bronze efficient but it offers 550 watts and is semi-modular. 3-year warranty.

Here is a SeaSonic FOCUS Gold 550 watt power supply. It is 80+ Gold Certified and semi-modular. 7-year warranty.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077916ZZV/?tag=pcpapi-20&th=1
If it was my money, I would buy the bottom since it is higher quality, more efficient, and has a much longer warranty.

That’s brilliant, thank you very much
