I got an Inspiron 15R (n1500) last year. it has 4GB RAM and an i3 intel core processor. It has the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family graphics and i cannot play games on it unless i play on horrible graphics and it still lags. i wanted to get a new graphics card but i didnt know whick graphics card would work in my computer. if anyone could tell me what graphics card will work or if someone can tell me where i can find it i would be pretty happy.
Thanks

Your laptop has integrated graphics which are not upgradeable. This is a question that is asked over and over, and I even asked this once. But if you really want to play games at better graphics, get a gaming laptop or build a desktop.

No, you still can't get a new graphics card, you can 'Get' it, but not use it. Because almost all laptop that does not have graphics card can't be put a graphic card, mostly because of lack of slot, space, cooling, etc.

See if you have an empty Mini-PCI-E 34mm Laptop slot, you can get Vidock, which lets you use external GPU. But I don't recommend it as buying this plus selling your current laptop is probably equal to a new nice laptop with nVidia 540M or Radeon 6650M... But if you are interested you can go to their website: http://www.villageinstruments.com/tiki-index.php?page=ViDock

Overall of this text, the best way is to sell your current laptop and buy a new laptop, or build a gaming desktop :).

The best performance priced CPU and GPU for a desktop computer are AMD RADEON HD 4870 which costs $59.99 and AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core which costs $199.99! The AMD RADEON HD 4870 video card is as powerful as the Radeon HD 6770 graphics adapter or the GeForce GTX 550 Ti! It's a high end video card with witch you can max out even the latest games without any problems! The AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core processor is fantastic mainly because it's much more powerful than both Intel Core i7 975 @ 3.33GHz and Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.30GHz! With these components your desktop computer is going to max out even the latest games out there! I hope that I managed to help you!

Um, no. Altho the 4870 may be cheaper and what not, its only dx10 and it consumes more power. The 6770 is all around a better card and be found under $100 and is dx11 as well. The 8120 doesnt really compete with most Intel offerings, and im an AMD guy for many moons. However for the budget minded, youd be better off going AMD for value. Can get a Callisto or a Zambezi (960t) for around $100 and unlock cores.

I know that Intel Processors totally kill all AMD CPUs in all ways, but they are expensive so I decided that the AMD CPU is going to be better for games which don't need such powerful processors! I personally have Intel Core i7 2630QM and it's wonderful and fast as hell! You are right that the 4XXX series are old and outdated, but since AMD RADEON HD 4870 is one of the best cards in the series I decided to mention it, because it can be compared to modern graphic cards from the 5XXX, 6XXX and even 7XXX series! It's a very cheap card for it's performance, but yet again it's very old and outdated! The guy said that he wants something cheap, so I gave him this card! Maybe RADEON HD 6850? It's new has DirectX 11 support and can max out everything! It's cheap for the performance and costs $139.99! He might get as well AMD HD 6870 which is a little bit more powerful and expensive! But all of this depends on the budget! This is why I wrote about the AMD HD 4870!
