Hello people, so i recently bought my new MSI GTX 970 GPU now i installed the GPU fine no problems there until i boot my system up. suddenly loads of horizontal red lines where doing across my screen and little red cubes as well it was so weird. so i decided to put my old GPU back in to see if it was a problem with the 970 it looks like there is a problem with the 970 because when i put my old GPU back in everything was fine. Can someone please tell me what the problem might be with the 970? thank you.
My Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K
Old GPU: MSI 760
New GPU: MSI NVIDIA GTX 970 (the GPU with the problems)
RAM: 8gb Corsair
PSU: 600W Corsair

I actually have heard of driver issues causing similar problems to what u are experiencing. Download DDU and your current GPU Driver. (Do not install yet)

http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

and uninstall all nvidia software on the computer. Restart the computer. with NO INTERNET CONNECTION. When u go to install the new driver do not use quick install or whatever its called make sure u choose custom install and select only

- Display Driver
- PhysX Driver
- HD Audio (Only If u use HDMI)

Wait for install to complete, reboot one more time and hopefully that fixes it
If u just got it recently and it already has problems just RMA it man, contact MSI or whoever u bought it from for details and u should get a replacement card free of charge. Except maybe shipping it to them.

I would work with the drivers first and remove them all and then reboot and then remove the folders like C:\ATI or C:\program files\ATI what ever your brand name video card is.... then reboot then install hardware then install newer drivers. Never use older drivers for new hardware..... never works good.
