New high end DDR3 System

Hi there People of Tom's Hardware site!
I'm new to the whole computer building scene, but I think I'm learning quick.
First off, in about two weeks I want to buy a new computer. And I want to build it myself.
I did a lot of research about what to get, DDR2 or DDR3,
Should I take GTX 295 or Radeon 4890 Crossfired.
Should I get a intel processor or AMD processor(same for the Motherboard).
So after getting all those questions done after my research I came to this PC Configuration.

# XFX Radeon HD 4890 Crossfired
# AMD Black Edition - Processor - 3.2 Ghz
# OCZ Platinum Dual Channel Kit - 8 GB Ram DDR3 (2x 4 GB)
# Antec TruePower 750 Watt for power(dunno what's called in english lol)
# Samsung SyncMaster P2250 - 5 ms - 1920 x 1080 - Full HD
# Antec Nine Hundred Two midi Tower
# Sony Optiarc AD-7240S-0B for DVD RW burning device
# Samsung SpinPoint F1 Desktop Class HD103 - 1TB x 2
# Raid 0 Configuration
# Cardreader all in 1



So what do you guys think of the configuration?
Would you do something different, have any tips for me?

What are you using it for? Where are you from so we can part stuff out on a website for you? Whats your budget? If you are mainly going to be gaming save money and get a 2x2 kit of ram, it should significantly less. You are spending so much on every other part get a top end motherboard to support the 4890's in crossfire like the Asus M4A79T Deluxe, it has the 790FX chipset which will let you do 16x/16x crossfire instead of 8x/8x.

I am going to use it primairly for gaming and next to that some designing.

I just copy pasted it, sort of guessing at the word meanings but doing pretty good so far.

Here is the board i was talking about earlier, its quite a bit more expensive but it will give you the most bandwidth for your graphics cards.

I guess the configuration Is perfect now.
Well maybe I can now use the Amd black 965 with 3.4 Ghz
because that last motherboard didn't support it.

ahw to bad doesn't support the 3.4. Ah well xD

Well the 965 isnt out yet so nothing will officially support it yet, but i bet when it does come out you will find that that board does support it as it supported all of the AM3 processors from the start.

Ah okay, do you know when it comes out?
Or isn't it worth whaiting for it?

I havent seen an official release date yet, last i heard a few reports were saying it was due out in a week or two, that was back at the end of june that two week window has come and gone, it is a revision so it should give higher overclocks if you are looking to take your system to the max then wait, but the 6.25% increase in clock speeds wont turn into anything too noticeable for the average person.

Ah okay, I don't know if I'm going to overclock, but I do know if I'm going to overclock it's possible because I got that Asus motherboard now. Thanks for all the help, I'm going to sleep now xD I'll let you know when I got my pc, but that can be over a month
