New i3 8100 + Nice Mobo under $200?

Hello everyone. I am trying to build a PC for a friend, but with this new intel gen out in the market, I really want to know a little bit more about them.
I want to buy him an i3 8100 and a new mobo, but we must not exceed $200.
Could you recommend me please?
Also, is i3 8100 the same compatibility as i3 6100?

Just forget about any new system with a $200 budget only. It's not gonna happen to get new CPU, mobo and RAM for $200.

He cannot get a Ryzen CPU and mobo to work with just imagining there is a couple of DDR4 sticks sitting in the mobo.

The OP didn't specifically say he only had a $200 budget. What he said was:

But here in our country we are only 'available' to buy packages not over $200, for it to be 'tax free'.

Maybe he can afford to buy some DDR4, in addition to the $200 for CPU/mobo.

We need to get the mobo and the cpu from the USA. The ram we can get it here.

So what's going on with i3 8100? I've been reading amazon reviews and everyone is so unsatisfied.

Looking at Amazon reviews, pretty much all the negative reviews seem to be 1 star reviews from people who don't even seem to own the CPU and are just butthurt about poor availability. A few others complaining about how it can't be overclocked, which shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. And some just seem to be outright trolls. In other words, no one seems to have any complaints about the CPU itself.

Yeah pretty much sums up all of those 1 start reviews. Pretty much all of them aren't even verified buyers / owners of that CPU. Not to mention most of them don't even talk bad about the product, they just bad mouth Intel as a whole.

With a $200 budget only, you will get more performance from a Ryzen build. At least until the cheaper Intel boards comes next year, then we will se at that time what is best in this price range.
