New i7 7700k won't boot

I am replacing my old i7 7700k because I thought it might be defective, it worked fine in my asus z170-a. So now I put in the new CPU which is the exact same as the one I used and now my computer won't boot, all the lights and fans come on but screen stays black, I also put my old CPU back in and same problem help
