Hi,

Only today I replaced my i5 8600k with an i9 9900k on my Z370P D3 motherboard. I upgraded bios version from F10 to F12 to allow me to use the i9. All seems to be going well but if I play a game or something my computer screens freeze with no warnings or error messages and require me to turn it off and on. Do I need to install more things to support my i9? Any ideas why it is freezing and how I can fix?

Thanks,
Joe

After running a CPU temp monitor the temp was arounf 80 degrees C and rising.. Do you think I require new more sufficient cooling for this?
Currently have CoolerMaster ML120L RGB single fan water cooler

That too, but it would not freeze when overheated, it would throttle instead. Did you overclock anything with the i5? If so, make sure everything is set to default with the i9 for testing matters.

Just checked overclock settings kept from i5 so i9 forced to 4.7GHz instead of base 3.6Ghz.. Changed it back to 3.6GHz and will test
