Guess it just goes to show how improving the lighting and sky can really face lift current graphics. Must be awesome to look at when it's in motion.

so this isnt a game just a demo of what thier engine can do, with in which id will probably make a quake 5 and doom 4 with this engine, . . .???

lets say i had, a script, and, . . oh 300 pages of storyboard lying around for a fps game, who and how would i go about selling it so that it can be made, im an artist and a writer but no programmer, . . .

OMG! I will upgrade my computer so I can play this.
I know my current hardware can't pull off graphics like that.
SO...
I will wait.. probably 1 year after it's release when the second gen hardware is out (since it's release) the price will be low enough I will be able to play it... Otherwise It will cost a boatload to get a decent framerate.
I'm thinkin.. 8 cores.. Triple channel (or better) memory maybe a dualcore highend video card. SSD drive.

Needs AA on the road in the last screen. Why does the guy walking down the street have a clone leaning up against the wall with almost same model? Same hubcap for a hat and white zipper crotch with white patch on his left leg? Is that water or smoke in the first screen? Also in the second where the water meets the rocks looks like gas instead of water. It looks good, but I'm not sure it's a whole version better then ETQW's engine. Id tech 3 to 4 was a big jump. Id tech 4 to 5 looks like a patch. Basically Oblivion, I mean Fallout 3 with high texture mod.

Probably will need a GTX260 or better to run smooth frames...i think. Also, a quad core should hold rendering very well with this one. Core 2 Duo's like mine will probably suffer unless the resolution and some textures are lowered... I plan on upgrading to a Core i7 soon anyway.

The only thing i think is a bummer for me personally is that it will be an RPG...and i'm not a fan unless they have a good controls, solid storyline, and the game looks great on PC.

about the surfaces thier are other ways of adding texture like basically having a dirt floor and sand overtop can be like the physx water in cryostasis? that way when gusts of wind come blowing by, and trucks and troops go running though it it will react like real sand?
not sure all the features this engine will have.

but seems like more than one way to skin a cat.

If they'd use that system, or a similar one I'd be happy. Perhaps I'd even but the game then, although ID has only made a select few good games (quake 2, doom1+2 & commander keen)

One of those screenshots in particular, with "Mick's Garage" in the background.... can you say Borderlands? 95% :)
But better gfx
