I have a problem my (new) Intel board will not post and no video. Have read
days of forums including Memory FAQ and "PERFORM THESE STEPS before posting about
POST/boot/no video problems!" only have 1 unanswered question about
memory... not getting a memory beep after memory installed, which is good right?
I bought the board years ago and finally got around to building it new out
of the box. Below are the memory specs for my Intel DX48BT2 mb. Does this
mean that the board will not work with 4gb dimms ( 8 GB total) of Patriot pc3 1333
MHz (I know it doesn't say it supports this capacity but the board is 5 years old and 4GB was uncommon back then)
I have been through every thing else I can think of and cannot figure
out any other reason for the board not working. System is breadboard now
with only cpu, 1 stick 4GB (in correct slot) and gpu (good verified several
working to choose from).
On jumper 1-2 system goes into reset loop after
about 5 secs, no post no video repeated reset.
On configure jump 2-3 system
runs no beeps and no post, cooling fine, green power led on just runs but...
already flashed recovery bios (I think) no video an no change. Is it the memory?

• 1.5 V with option to raise voltage to support higher performance DDR3
SDRAM
DIMMs
• Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following
restriction:
Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.
• 8 GB maximum total system memory. Refer to Section 2.1.1 on page 41 for
information on the total amount of addressable memory.
• Minimum total system memory: 256 MB
• Non-ECC DIMMs
• Serial Presence Detect
• DDR3 1600 MHz, DDR3 1333 MHz, DDR3 1066 MHz, and DDR3 800 MHz SDRAM
