Hi all, new here...

Having a problem with my newly purchased Kingston 120GB internal SSD.

Slotted it in the top of my case, booted windows 10 up, it didnt show up as a drive, however, it did show up in Disk Management. The only option I believe was "initialize" ... So I done that and it wanted to be formatted MBR, so I tried that and then it said device not connected or something... so I tried again, same thing, shut down pc, unplugged it and plugged it back in, started pc up again, now I cant even see it in DIsk Management....

Any help would be greatly appreciate as im getting quite frustrated now 😛

Cheers!

Solution
Its actually easier than you think.

1. Flashlight
2. Power off
3. Take off the side panel
4. Look around, and touch/wiggle the cables that look like they are coming from the backside of that external dock location. See if anything is sort of loose.
That $omeone else will cost me $99AUD, the SSD was around 80.... I cant justify spending that. 🙁 Nor can I see how I would do this myself. Hence.... paper weight 🙁

Solution
Ok, I just plugged it back in and it showed in Disk Management, I then initialized it.... it says it is "Online" "Unallocated" , Where do i go from here? When I right click it in Disk Manager the only options that arent greyed out are "Convert to Dynamic Disk" -- "Convert to MBR Disk" -- "Offline" and "Properties" / "Help"
