Hi guys,

Specs:
12900ks
Asus Maximus Z690 Hero (thermalright contact frame)
64 gigs T-Force Delta 6200
Custom Loop
Gigabyte RTX 3080Ti Gaming OC
Corsair HX1000i

Today I received my second kit of T-Force Delta 6200 DDR5 32 gig (2 sticks) and after installing them I was immediately getting bsods while running cinebench and then just logging into windows and also Hardware errors in Aida64 stress test. I was experiencing none of this with just the previous 2 sticks installed.
I thought maybe the new kit had a bad stick, so I tried just the 2 new sticks and everything seemed fine, no bsods or anything. I then thought maybe there was a problem with the ram slots on my board, so I put the 2 sticks from the original kit into slots 1 and 3 on my board, and it completely fails to POST in that state. However if I disable XMP and then have the sticks in slots 1 and 3 it will POST. I am clueless as to why that might be.
If I have all 4 sticks in and XMP enabled it POSTs fine every time, but then I experience the problems I mentioned earlier, all 64 gigs are detected though.

I am not really sure when it comes to RAM related voltages and stuff, but I have System Agent set at a manual 1.25v and the memory controller is on auto at about 1.1v. I don't if either of these are too low for 4 sticks of 6200, like I say I'm not really sure about anything RAM related. CPU is at stock at the moment, so everything is pretty much auto.
One other thing to note is that I am using an LGA1700 contact frame, which I know can cause problems with RAM if not installed correctly, but I followed the Gamers Nexus guide to installing it and was using it before with no problems (although I did remount it today while draining my custom loop).

If anyone has anything for me to test I would really appreciate it, as I am baffled right now.

Thanks :)

Latest bios?

Running 2 sets of ram is iffy.

Hi there,

Yes I’m on the latest BIOS, although I have seen some people complaining about RAM stability with it, but I’m not sure how true that is. I know that running 2 high speed kits of ddr5 can have issues, maybe I’ll have to drop the clocks with all 4 sticks, but I’m more worried about the fact that it will just boot loop if I just have sticks in slots 1 and 3, seems weird to me but maybe there is a reason for it.

Thanks for the reply :)
