Hey! I'm looking for a new laptop. I've tried to look everywhere but ive come up empty handed. ive got a few requirements and i can't find a pc that matches. The big problem is that I don't know which one to compromise on. I've looked at the asus zenbook line, dell xps and thinkpad.

1. What is your budget? $1700

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 14'' (bigger would be inconvenient as im a student)

3. What screen resolution do you want? 2560x1440 or better so i can edit my .raw photos.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? A portable laptop that i can use for university and photoediting on the side with lightroom, photoshop and the lot.

5. How much battery life do you need? Sufficient for university, 5-6 hours? I'm unsure.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? I do not play games

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) I like to edit photos from my camera that comes out in the .raw format. I edit in lightroom and photoshop and other adobe programs.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? Preferably 1 tb or more. My image library is quite big.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. Anything goes except apple. I've looked at Dell XPS, Asus Zenbooks and ThinkPad X13 Gen 4.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? 4 years, a good time since im spending a fair bit of money.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? None.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. Apple, framework. 1. I just like windows. 2. Its not available in my country and a need a pc rather quickly.

13. What country do you live in? Denmark

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed. I have an idea of what i need. But please correct me if its overkill. I'd like a good CPU, integrated graphics should be fine. 32 gigabytes of ram since ill handle the photoediting and its futureproof. 1TB of space minimum and also a 14''. I know i can't really get all these requirements with 1700$ but can you please tell me what i can compromise on? Maybe show me some good examples of what i could buy that would suffice my needs? Lastly i'd like to avoid walking around with a beefy gaming laptop if possible.

Thank you!

UK-based PC Specialist's 14" FUSION laptop can be configured to your exact requirements and will come in well under budget. They claim a "Typical Battery Life
Up to 12 hours" so you should be fine.

Remember to also select a European power cable, Danish keyboard, and Danish operating system language.

I don't take anymore any copybooks at my college because I am already studying all my lessons and academic materials on my laptop. I am glad that I have access to such online sources like https://edubirdie.com/research-papers-writing-services because I trust only experts who can offer me quality research papers writing help. I know i can't really get all these requirements with 1700$ but can you please tell me what i can compromise on? Maybe show me some good examples of what i could buy that would suffice my needs? Based on your described requirements, I would buy Dell XPS 13 Plus. This laptop offers a beautiful 14-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3456 x 2160, making it ideal for editing your RAW photos:) It's powered by an Intel Core i7-1280P processor and 32GB of RAM, which will provide plenty of power for your photo editing needs.

It also has a 1TB SSD for storage, which should be plenty of space for your image library. And the battery life is impressive - lasting up to 15 hours on a single charge!

The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side...

As for compromises, you could also consider a laptop with less RAM, but 32GB is ideal for photo editing.
