Bought a new laptop and had icons lagging alt tab lagging and etc. At first i thought it was because windows was probably updating or something but its been around a month now and it's still lagging. If the info helps, the computer usually goes for around 10 minutes before beginning to lag and it gradually gets worse. Nothing in task manager (cpu gpu ram ssd) are maxing out.
Example cases of lag:
when hovering the cursor on any icons the hover over box around the icon takes a bit to show up
sometimes gets stuck on alt tab for moments
sometimes takes time to switch apps
if it helps here's the laptop model and specs:
Asus Zenbook 14 Q425M
Intel core ultra 7 155H
intel Arc Graphics (Driver: 32.0.101.592) (if it's related, I did reinstall the graphics driver a few times with intel graphics software clean installs (not ddu))
16GB/1TB
Windows 11 24H2 (Build: 26100.3194)
things I've already done to try fix:
sfc -scannow
chkdsk /f /r
Other observations:
I tend to have high page file usage but seems my laptop doesn't use much anymore (uses around 1.5gigs)
a while ago there was a IQRL something BSOD
Does anyone have any suggestions?
