I've tried OCing on my current motherboard but found out that it has really bad VRMs and prevents me from doing ANY stable OC. I was wondering if it was worth it to buy a better mobo for my 6300 just to overclock it.

I'm thinking of getting the GA-990FXA-UD3. I really would love to buy a new i5-4690k, but its way too expensive for me right now compared to just a $130 motherboard.

How far will I be able to OC with this board and would I see a major difference with my 770? Thank you.

I recently got into overclocking and generally just want the best performance my 770 can go. And my stock 6300 is kind of bottlenecking it (the times I got to play with my OCs on this board, I noticed an improvement in frames).
