So I just took my new MOBO out of the box for a pre-build inspection and one of the retention clips on the 4th RAM slot is loose; it has play in it compared to the others and I can push it open with very minimal force. I purchased this from a local Micro Center so an exchange shouldn't be much of a hassle. Opinions on a return?
Also, on the table I'm working on I noticed a relatively large (compared to the solder points on a MOBO, so it could be manufacturing waste of some sort) silver chip that looks to me to be a broken piece of solder. I inspected the MOBO and did not see any missing points, but this has made me paranoid as well. Further, the case and some fans on the table so it could be something that has fallen off of one of them.
