Hello, how are you?
I am thinking about buying a new monitor for my computer.
The use I do of the system is 80% gaming and 20% web browsing.
I am currently thinking about two monitors:
- Asus PG278Q ROG Swift
It is a 2560x1440 tn display with 144hz refresh rate and Nvidia G-Sync.

- LG 34UM95
21:9 aspect ratio. Same 1440p resolution but more horizontal space. IPS panel but only 60hz and no G Sync.

I didn't try both or any to be precise.
My thoughts is that the Asus with the GSync and 144hz will give a more smooth gaming experience with no stutter or tearing. That is the big plus of the Asus for me. From what Iread, GSync is really revolutionary.

The LG has a better panel for viewing angles and color, but for gaming it might not make a difference. It has a better aspect ratio for gaming, with more immersion.

Based on these analysis, I am torn...
What are your thoughts and why?

Thanks.
Cheers!

21:9 aspect ratio is not supported in all games. Not to mention it's a 60hz monitor with inferior GtG latency . Great for productiviy and work, not great for gaming. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a gaming grade 21:9 monitor with g-sync. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
