[SOLVED] New monitor now lagging my computer

Hey guys got a new monitor, ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q 34" Curved Ultra-Wide 3440x1440 100Hz GSYNC, Running at 3440x1440 @ 100hz with GSYNC enabled. The games i played fine while windowed are now lagging but would stop when full screen. Originally used an 240hz monitor with no problems. Any ideas?
My specs are:
i7 7700k
1080ti
16gb ram

Play them fullscreen. Or enable gsync for both windowed and fullscreen .
