I recently bought a new GPU, 980 Ti (reference). Currently i have a pretty shitty CPU, that definently bottlenecks my GPU. So i have decided to buy a new CPU. Problem is, my motherboard only support LGA 1155 CPU's. I have found out that this type of CPU's are no longer being developed, and i can't find any that's newer than from 2012. Now, does it pay off to get a new motherboard that supports some other CPU's, and in that case do you have any suggestions? I have about 250 maybe 300£ to spend.
System details
Motherboard: Asrock H77 Pro/Mvp
PSU: Corsair CX600M
CPU: i-3 3240
GPU: 980 Ti (reference)
12 Gb of RAM

socket 1155 parts might not still be developed but a good socket 1155 cpu is still a great part even now

i am still on my 4 year old 2600k (5ghz) as nothing since then has been worth the price to performance gained to make me upgrade

never had a cpu 4 years before and itching to upgrade--but if my 2600k still cuts it not going to yet
