Hey all, I'm looking for a motherboard that would fit in a Purple/Black color scheme build. The motherboard I'm looking for also has to be ATX, Socket 1151, and be no more than $350 USD.

I like the Asus boards but haven't been able to find one that isn't red/black or white/black themed. Originally I was going to get the Asus Z170 Deluxe because the board is a decent price and packed with features and try to paint the white shrouds, but I don't know if that's even possible, maybe someone could let me know?

While looking through the Toms Hardware site I also came across the EVGA Classified K and was wondering if anyone could tell me how that compares to the Z170 Deluxe? The specs seem to be similar but I have no clue how reliable EVGA boards are or how good the software is.

Thanks to anyone who can help =)

You could also check out the ASUS Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1 mainboard. The non-black portions would probably be hidden enough to not ruin your theme.

The Classified-K was just announced in January. Nobody has done reviews of it. And those who have past experience with EVGA mainboards would likely tell you to avoid this one. I'd be willing to give it a shot, but I'm not afraid to try new untested things like most people are (I might regret it, but I would at least give it a shot -- if I didn't like it I would replace it with an ASUS Maximus board). And I really like that it tells you what will be disabled when you use the M.2 ports right on the board itself.

Wow, you're right. Pretty much everything that isn't black or grey is going to be covered up with basic computer parts.

Thanks a lot man, you were really helpful.

Not sure how to go about marking as solved, maybe that's a mods job? Either way this thread is solved. Thanks

3/2/16 Update: I ended up getting the Asus ROG Maximus VIII Formula. It is almost completely black and has RGB lighting that I can use for purple accents.
