New motherboard suggestions

Hello everyone,

I have a question and looking for suggestions on what you have found that works and isn't an Asus motherboard. I am going to build a new setup for a co-worker and need a decent motherboard. I have had some nightmare issues with Asus and their horrendous customer support/product quality, so they are out.

What I am looking for: Motherboard for an i5-3570K processor (1155 pin processor). Need 2 PCIE slots at 16X or one at 16X and the other at 8X. Onboard sound/networking (prefer an onboard intel network chip). Would prefer 4X memory slots but will probably just get him 2X8G chips. He does a lot of SQL work so memory is somewhat key. Looking to get a Z77/75 chipset so the SATA3 controllers actually work at spec'd speeds.

I have been browsing Newegg a bit and almost everything keeps pointing me back to Asus. Any ideas/recommendations for a good quality motherboard that meets these requirements?

Intel boards aren't quite as fancy as some other brands. But for basic usage, they're fine.

most boards run dual pci-e at x16/0 or x8/x8 unless you want to pay the big bucks
