I’m new here and want to build a new computer. I have been researching for a couple of months but cannot decide if what I’m looking at is overkill. I would like this machine to last least 5 years. I would appreciate any advice you can give.
APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: 1 month
BUDGET RANGE: $600 - $700 After Rebates
SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Photoshop, Surfing the internet, Watching movies. I do not play computer games.
PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, DVD burner.
I would like to use my old Lian-Li PC-61 case. Unfortunately it uses (4) 80mm fans that are quite noisy. I have thought about ordering some quiet fans for it but they are expensive. Anyone have any recommendations? I have looked at Noctua and Nexus but they would cost about $60 to replace all the fans.

Video Card - ???
I have no brand preference.
Ram 4GB - ???
I have no brand preference.
OVERCLOCKING: Maybe SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No
MONITOR RESOLUTION: N/A
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Please let me know if you think a lower end CPU would suit my needs just fine. I’m drawn to the i5-750 because it seems to offer a lot of bang for the buck. I mainly want a machine that can multitask well and is reliable.
