So my old.mobo aorus elite ax z690 ddr4 1700 socket died

Along with:
1 stick of ddr4 corsair 3000
Rtx 2080ti
12700k
Rm 850x gold

So i ordered from.amazon: the same cpu is cheap and i like it,the new mobo is the ddr5 version of it.

Aorus z790 elite ax
Along with 2x16 crucial ddr5 6000 rams
Are the mobo, the rams ok for the new.mobo?
Also im.in a budget
Im hesitating between the rtx 3060 and the rtx 4060

What would be better?
Im.playing on a lg ultrawide 29 ips monitor with a second 1080p aoc monitor
Thank you

Might consider picking up an ups as well. On gpu you may also look at the rx 6600 and rx 7600 on the amd side. The 6600 is a decent entry level 1080p card similar performance to the 3060 but can be found under $200 US.

Are you sure all the other parts actually died and not just the board? For a cpu to die is kind of rare.

I will consider the 7600 not an amd fand, neither a nvidia fan

Yes i have no signal from the gpu and the cpu
And what about the ram.and new.mobo?
I wanted to jump from ddr4 to ddr5

Yes is strange never have.problems with it
The psu i dont.know if still working, i dont habe the parts to stress it

Neither one really. The 4060 at least the base model will be hampered by the 8gb vram. With new frame generation etc probably get the 4060. You might look and see what is available on the amd side as well.

The amd rx 6600 is pretty close to the rtx 3060 but behind. However you can get those new under $200.

I’d say you could look at the rx 6600. A step up is the 6650xt. That appears to be about 230 to start where the 3060 is starting around 280 for the 12gb model. You don’t want the 3060 8gb as it’s a little slower than the 12gb.

The rx 7600 should compete with the 4060 but on Newegg those start at 259, the 4060 starts at about 289.

Here’s a video showing a comparison of them.

If you want to spend a little extra there’s also the rx 6750xt, but that starts at 329 so more than the 4060 but it has 4gb more vram so may hold up better later.

Keep in mind the nvidia gpus do a bit better in ray tracing. Also they have a bit better upscaling with dlss, however one thing to note, the older cards like the 3060 for example, got locked out of the latest version of dlss. So even if you get the newer 4060, what might happen for example is when the 5000 series arrives they may introduce features in software that the 4000 series doesn’t get access to. AMDs FSR isn’t quite as good as dlss but has been improving I think and is a bit more open standard, so to my knowledge works on amds latest gpus as well as their 6000 series, and even the older nvidia cards. But that should provide some options.
