I just got a new pc with windows 7 loaded on to a normal hdd, it's a cyberpower pc. I want to add an ssd for my os and a few apps, and use the other drive for storage, I have the cyberpower disk with win7 on it, will I need to format the current drive then load win7 on the new ssd? can this be done?

Solution
1. disconnect the current HDD.
2 connect only the SSD.
3. boot from the cyberpower disk and install Windows.
4 once windows is up and running, reconnect the HDD.
5. re-install any applications that you need. this will insure that the registry will be correct.
