Hey,
In the near fututre i will be building a new PC and i was wondering if these are good parts (Mostly the Motherboard). So here it is....

CPU - Amd Ryzen 5 1500x
MB - ASUS PRIME X370-PRO AMD ATX Motherboard
GPU - SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 580
RAM - HyperX FURY DDR4 8GB 2400Mhz
HD - WD Blue 2TB

I am not new to this but i would just like to make sure I am spending my money well,
Thanks.

Also.. A while back I bought a 'Corsair CX600 Power supply' (I didnt use it for anything its kinda just lying around in the box) and i know the CX series is not the best but is it still ok to use.

Solution

Yes the parts are great, however I...
I think it is alright for power supply.

Just a questions but why are you looking at the the X370 boards? You could look at the B350 and either the R5 1600 or slightly faster ram. The quicker ram would allow the processor to get a couple of extra fps in games and little quicker in renderings.

Thanks,
The Board has what i need but i could still look into this. Your talking about like 2666Mhz DDR4 Ram Right? and would the R5 1600 be worth the extra money

Hey thanks,
About €800 - €850, Which is hard because amazons exchange rate is terrible.

It all depends on what you are looking at doing. If it is just playing games then the 1500x and the 1600 are very close. games with lots of multi-threading will run better on the 1600.

So all the parts are good?

Yes the parts are great, however I would get 3200mhz ram, RyZen benefits from faster ram by a long shot, and 3200mhz is currently the sweet spot, you're getting a high end graphics card, high end motherboard, decent CPU and slow ram.

Where are you buying it from ? somewhere in Ireland or UK ?

Theres a great place in Ireland that ive used many times to purchase RAM (im in the UK) MemoryC.com https://www.memoryc.com/

Solution

Yeah Im buying from amazon UK. Thanks for the recommendation.
