Need help:

Wanting to build a new everyday use pc with the ability to do some video editing (minimal). Tired of store bought pc's that cannot be upgraded and force one to purchase a new one. I don't do gaming so do not need a work horse nor am I interested in all the lights. Appreciate all recommendations. I am not wedded to a budget but more want to stick with intended usage and something that will last awhile. I am not up to date on newest technology which is why I am asking for recommendations.

1. ATX case
2. Motherboard that would support below and would be decent
3. Intel I7 (not sure which would be good) (air cooled)
4. Memory: DDR ? (Minimum 16 GB)
5. Storage: OS drive (min 1 TB) ; Data drive (2 TB). M2s would work with some SDD capabilities
6. HDMI (2), Display port (1)
7. Video can be integrated or a decent low end graphics card
8. USB's (at least 3 in the front). The more the better
9. Built in sound is ok

Thank you

This would be at the top end of what you would want for perspective. This computer would last you for years, and you would be able to upgrade because it comes with a very nice PSU and motherboard with great warranties. The 1TB drive is for all the applications and the 4tb drive is for any storage of projects, games (if you play any), long term related storage. I themed this build to be black and white. It will look great aesthetically.

if your not gaming it might be worth considering a Ryzen CPU with integrated graphics? I ran a Ryzen 3 3200G for basically your exact same use, video editing and image editing, streaming and internet browsing for the last 3 years and it was fine, the only time it let me down was gaming, the FPS was terrible because CPU internal graphics is never great, but you said your not using it for gaming anyway, it would just mean you wouldn't need to buy a GPU straight off, here's a build list that could work for you using a Ryzen 5 5600G that's a better CPU with integrated graphics, I've picked a reasonably capable mobo so you can upgrade CPU and add a GPU at a later date, and a 1tb M.2 drive, but the case has lots of room to add hard disks as needed, lots of data storage space is a given for video editing

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M AORUS ELITE AX Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard
RAM: Corsair vengeance 16GB (you will probably want more than that for video editing tho)
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280
Case: Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower Case
PSU: Corsair RM850e (2023) 850 W 80+ Gold

part picker recons this'll cost $614, this depends on suppliers and where in the world you live, but it's a fairly capable low cost system with lots of room to upgrade, this list was picked in a hurry so please do your own research :)
