The one hour would not matter anymore. Anything you have not looked at would stay orange regardless.

The one hour only applies if you want to use the option "show posts since last visit", which you guys are telling me is not the criticl function as compared to show me anything I have not seen yet as orange.

I haven't been on in 4days because of work....

I came back to posts that were orange and white....YAY!!!

but guess what....problem, this is an example

in a thread i had the #2 post....and the #4 and #6.....it showed them all unread. how can #2&4 be unread if i posted #6?

I am just saying i have multiple posts in some threads, and when they all showup as unread thats impossible. I can't not have visited thread and posted in it 10 times.

I have since rest my browser but when i get it again i will show you.

btw, this whole orange and white thing is annoying i have to log out and log back in to reset everything insted of a simple click of a refresh on my browser.

It looks like we are having way too many problems in this area. So I have decided to move to a fully server based model, as has been recommended here. Then we would not have any problems with logins/logouts, etc.

It will take me a day or two to make this work. So bear with me.

Nicely going Steve, and I was begining to lose the faith.

I'm also taking credit for this idea (DH  ) as I posted requesting it first. 😀

Ned... DH, me thinks a lot of folks were sugesting that the cookie db be moved off the local machine to the server level ... maybe we/they didn't say it as elegantly ... but I think the message was conveyed ... now you two go off now and pat each other on the backs ...

Edit: Not to be taken too seriously ... ok 😀
