Hi!

I'm looking for a new PSU for some new stuff I wanna put in my PC. Now I have:

C2D E6750 @3.2Ghz
3Gb ram DDR2
Gtx 260 core-216
Abit IP35-E
Chieftec 400W

I want to buy Q9400 or I5-750 (with the latter new Motherboard and ram) and ATI HD5870. I want new PSU to be quiet and efficient. I'm thinking about

Tacens VALEO II
OCZ Z-Series 650
Scythe Kamariki

Which one wound you recommend ?

Same here. OCZ Z series. But if you want anything more than recommendations based on brand recognition and good personal experiences with one, you're going to have to either google reviews on all of these power supplies to compare, or hope to get lucky with someone else who reads this post doing it for you. I doubt you are going to find someone here who has owned all three of those.

First, here are the ATI Radeon™ HD5870 System Requirements:

PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard.

500 Watt or greater power supply with two, 75 watt, 6-pin, PCI Express® power connectors.

600 Watt or greater power supply with four, 75 watt, 6-pin, PCI Express® connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode.

The power supply recommendations are for an entire pc system.

For a high quality power that is also quiet I recommend the Seasonic X-650 gold certified psu. I have one in my new pc. It is definitely quiet and the voltage is rock steady.
