I got my first nvm ssd today.

Benchmark score is decent ( read:3170 mb/s , write: 2573 Mb/s), but why does it perform so bad, when transferring files or starting programs? Sometimes even hovering around 8mb/s.
I updated all drivers.

Tried both NVMe slots and in BIOS changed device configuration
accordingly

And I am still getting this rate.

Thank you for any help, advice!

Solution
When you transfer files between media your overall speed will be the slowest link in the chain. What is the 'other' drive you are transferring from or to?

If you are just copying files from one spot on the NVMe to another you need to realize that there will be a major performance hit when your source AND destination are the same. Basically, the drive is pulling double duty.
