Exactly as title reads. Just installed a new 2tb sata ssd as an addition to my 1tb m.2 ssd but it won't show in the partition manager/disk management.
Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Solution
Only my m.2 shows in device manager, not my new sata ssd. Windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build: 18363.778)
What specific drives and motherboard?
Often, when a drive is in an M.2 port, one or more SATA ports are disabled.

This may be as easy as swapping SATA ports on the motherboard.

Aorus Ultra lga1151 z390 mobo, WD Blue m2 1 tb, and new sata drive is a Samsing QVO 2TB. I will try swapping the sata port on my mobo now, but there are quite a few sockets. Is there an order to which socket I should use first?

You'll need to look in your user manual for the specific combinations.

"* Refer to "1-8 Internal Connectors," for the installation notices for the PCIEX4, M.2, and SATA connectors. "

Okay so I changed the socket and now I can see it in the partition manager. I just want to clarify if it's okay that my new drive is showing up in the disk management as disk 0, which my m2 with my OS on was originally labelled as. If I do create the partition, is my computer going to keep trying to boot and read from disk 0, which is now the clean 2tb sata drive? I doubt it, but just wanted to check. Thanks!
