Describe your problem. List any error messages and symptoms. Be descriptive.
PC restarts when extracting a zip file / opening a file that was just downloaded / or after downloading Windows 10 on VM. Doesn't happen with every file, but it is quite often. No BSOD, just a quick restart. Sometimes my screen goes blank and my usb devices turn off but the fans are still running in the case with the GPU lights are still on, same with the USB ports. After restart occurs, the problem happens a few more times before it becomes "stable". Event viewer has a critical error event 41 for kernel-power "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first."
List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem.
  • Reinstalled Windows 10 multiple times
  • Ran Prime95 - Crashed after 7 hours
  • Ran Memtest86 with 4/4 passes no errors twice
  • Reseated everything in my case
  • Monitored temps - around 30-35c idle and stays around 60-65 when stressing with Prime95
  • Tried A1 B1 and A2 B2 ram slots
  • Tested each RAM stick individually
  • Tried enabling / disabling XMP
  • Tried disabling XHCI Hand-off
  • Installed latest drivers for BIOS / GPU / Chipset / Audio
