New System, Monitor does Not Turn On (Not a Monitor Problem)

I just built a new computer. I will list the parts below.

When I turn my computer on, for some reason, the monitor does not. I have tried using the on board video card and additional video card listed below.

Perhaps I did not connect something (I double checked but I don't believe this is the case) or something is incorrectly connected.

By the way, I suspect that it is not a monitor problem because the monitor works fine with my other computer.

I really have no idea. Any help is appreciated.

i know this is a stupid assumption but....

you are sure youre pluggin in your monitor into your GPU? and make sure you have the proper cables?

also do you have a spare monitor to test to see if that works?

To the person above me:

It worked before with another Power Supply, but I disconnected everything once I found out that my old PSU wasn't good enough. I had lost the instructions so i reconnected from memory. I am pretty sure all of the important things are pluged in the right places. I only thing I could not remember was the wire to the power button, but I can always turn it on directly from the MOBO anyway.

I heard it might be my PSU? I am really not sure.

If it worked with a different PSU, then either the PSU you have is defective, or you forgot to plug something in. Go through shortstuff_mt's checklist to make sure everything is connected.

If it turns out to be the PSU, should I buy one with more wattage or would 400 be sufficient?

400w is plenty. Are you just using onboard video?
